How can it help my business?

In the Shop

Display lighting and people produce a high volume of unwanted heat most of the year and not just in the summer, although this is when we notice the problem at its maximum nuisance.

If the shop is hot and sweaty the customers will leave and go usually to Marks & Spencers, where it is always cool & crisp.

We spend millions to attract the customer through the door - and spend nothing to stop them going straight back out again.

The longer they stay - the more chance you have of a sale.

Clothing shops are particularly affected as no one wants to go into a small hot changing room to try anything on.

And if they do there is the added problem for the retailer with the customer's makeup melting and smearing on to garments being tried on.

The jeweller faces a unique problem with customers' fingers swelling in the heat. Impossible to gauge a correct ring size, and the risk of not being able to retrieve a ring from a fat finger, which will just get fatter the more it is pulled and panic and embarrassment set in.

And what about your staff - they can not walk out - they are there all day long, and on their feet. Their discomfort may lead to irritability towards the customer and their productivity and attention levels will be greatly reduced, which could take their eye of the all-important issue of security!
